Dejah Marie Miles graduated from Bowie State University in 2023 with a bachelor’s degree in Print Journalism. Her work has been widely published by the Bowie State University's Spectrum publication and Open Campus media.
Her internship experiences at The Bowie Sun and Mother Jones Magazine have helped her shape investigative journalism skills.
In September 2023, she became a fellow reporter with the HBCU Student Journalism Network with Open Campus.
During the fellowship, she collaborated with mentors, crafting articles on the hardships of students’ parents and Shaw University's financial struggles in redevelopment. Dejah is also dedicated to studying photography and photojournalism.
Currently, she’s working on building her photography & cinematography skills to make her direct, and produce her own documentaries.
